    You're not to blame and I'm sorry I didn't get to reply sooner.  The 
person who gave you the info should have included such warnings as a 
standard precaution.

    This is the primary issue I have with most tech support people.  There's 
no money to be made, so get off the phone (or just reformat the PC to fix a 
problem) as fast as possible.  If these folks would spend just a little 
extra time with the little things that don't make them money, they would 
create an atmosphere that would attract more paying customers than they 
would know how to handle!
