-=PCTechTalk=- Re: CD ROM Drive

Why not call them up your local computer shop and ask the same
question. Might be quicker

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- CD ROM Drive

I have not seen my last e-mails posted but maybe I just missed
them. I am
still trying to get Greeting Card Factory installed. I have
been able to
get disk one to complete 3 times from the disk but on the second
disk it
throws the famous error 1335. I have not been able to get the
first disk
installed from the one I copied to my hard drive so I have not
put the
second disk on my hard drive.
Nova Development tech told me to try cleaning the CD ROM Drive
with a
product called a drive head cleaner, available in most
electronics or office
supply stores. I stopped by my local computer shop today and
they did not
have the product but the owner of the shop told me to use
compressed air to
clean the drive. He said that is what they do.
I forgot to ask if I just open the drive and "shoot" or if I
need to open
the tower, which I have never done. Can someone advise me on
this before I
try this remedy?
Sandi
