-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Bye Bye Acer and Vista

just curious...........where did you get your pc with XP? Here in North
Florida I was told the only store in the city was Compusa. But I imagine
you can probably get them online somewhere?

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Bye Bye Acer and Vista

Well after 3 weeks of bliss and 3 months of pulling my hair out, I'd had
enough and went out and got a HP Pavilion with XP Media Center.
In the last 3 months I have reformatted the Acer 7 times not including the
time I put in a larger hard drive trying to fix the problems. The problems
included things like a program would just stop and then start up again after
10 or so seconds. Having the curser jump all over while typing. Took 15
min. to tape a short note , 3 lines, to a friend.
Followed the directions an making a rescue disk, only to have it give me a
bad syntax error the first time I used it.
I can't say the whole problem was one thing or the other but I have a
feeling it a combination of the Acer, Vista and me.
But know I'm back with XP and happy as a pig in Sh*t.
Steve
