-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Backup = Acronis True Image 11

Hi Dean,
Each of the 5 computers here each with 2 removable hard drive racks
can have 2 drives installed at any time.

I normally run them with only one drive in place.

When I need to change OS I remove the drive in place and
put in the drive with the other OS.

When I want to backup I install a second hard drive in the
drive bay rack and Clone it.

I take out the cloned drive and store it in my fire proof
filing cabinet.
I also keep a cloned hard drive at a relatives home for security.

With the advent of large USB drives I now use ATI 11
and copy the drive C from a computer to the USB drive.

Then after shutting down the computer and unplugging the USB
drive ! use the Safely remove hardware icon in the toolbar
down by the clock!
I hook it up to next computer I wish to backup.
And repeat the process.

When the USB drives are not in use they go into my metal
computer cabinet, 4ft wide 2 ft deep 6 ft tall, in the store room.

Hi Mike,

I'd like to know more about how you mount these mutable multiple drives.
Mine are really stacking up and need better ventilation.
