-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Backup = Acronis True Image 11

GMan! and Mike!,

1. I wd also appreciate inf on the tweaks please

2. Have you tried CLONING to a separate HD and does ATI
partition/repartition it? (I only have ONE separate HD, so can't risk
trying)

3. I have been wary of doing a Restore of my (vanilla) Backup in case
there were any gremlins which would cause further corruption.

4. I have however tried to restore to a different location (partition)
so that I could Open and see how it came out, but as already reported it
asked me to create a path for a new folder, which I could not because
of the scrambling of my Reverse Solidus key (which appeared as #; as it
does now when I hit the key ......... # ...there!)

5. I have established a daily schedule of incremental backups which
seems to be working satisfactorily.

6. I have created a boot CD but it won't play; it tries to start and
goes whirrr/click pause, whirr/click pause etc etc

7. and in reply to GMan's question of Feb 27th headed "Re: Gman....
question about creating an Acronis image", you are quite right; I do NOT
have enough room.

Any help would be much appreciated
