-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Anyone have the URL for the standalone download of Windows XP SP3? - WARNING!

Hi Glen,
I have no problem with the link being posted as long as it's clearly
labeled as existing exclusively for the tech heads and the kamikazes (you
all know who you are lol), but it MUST include a strong warning for those
who may be unable to recover should anything go wrong. Perhaps some may
feel that we're being too protective of our members but, although we do
occasionally try to encourage folks to 'go where they've never been before',
they are always sent off into 'the great unknown' with full directions on
how to get back if something should go amiss. This situation has no such
directions since the effects are pretty much unknown. I've seen plenty of
online reports of folks who have had no problems at all with the install or
its aftermath, but I also figure that any who HAVE had trouble may not have
a way to report back about it (too busy reformatting). lol

So, you tossed in the link and I provided the warning. Hopefully
nothing bad comes out of the two messages being separated. ;O)

Peace,
G
