I'm curious to see others responses as well. My notebook is a little older and the unsecure version that keeps showing is in the system32>macromedia>flash folder and the file is an active x control labeled flash10b.ocx and flash10c.ocx. I read on the secunia forum that one could just delete these files and I attempted to do this, but I ran across a "you do not have permission to delete this file" problem, even though I am an administrator. ______________reply separator________________ From: "Sandi Beach" <sandib2@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Adobe Flash Player Update (cont) Date: Sat, 8 Aug 2009 18:18:42 -0500 I went to the Secunia Forums and found that others are having trouble with this update but not specific to IE as my problem is. The fix according to one forum member, is to use the flash player uninstaller. Says it cannot be uninstalled any other way. Then download and install the latest, which is vers. 10.0.32.18. I have the uninstaller on my desktop to run if this is what it takes. Still would like some input from you all or just validation that this is the way to go.
