-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Additional memory to desktop..

HB,

Looks like you will either need one stick of PC133 256 mb memory, or you may
have to a new stick of PC133 512mb memory.

Best thing you can do is open up the case, and see if there is a free slot
for the memory to fit into. I think you may find that you only have two
slots, and they both carry a 128mb memory stick, which makes your 256mb.
This leaves you either adding a 512MB on its own, or even having a 512 and a
128 together.

You operating system will also help to say how much memory you can use
easily.

Hope that helps,

Trevnal

Hello all,
     I currently have 256M memory, and would like to increase it to 512M.
Belarc provided the following information;

Processor - 666 megahertz Intel Celeron
System Model - American Megatrends Inc. VIA694X/686A
Main Circuit Board - GgYyYyGg 6VXCY-4X 1.0

Memory Modules;
Slot '0' has 128 MB
Slot '1' has 128 MB
Slot '2' is empty

Additionally, the original purchase receipt list memory as;
DIMM 128MB SDRAM PC133. (2 each)

Request information on which 256MG stick I should add.

Thanks,

HB
