Pat,

The dates are the ones you get the option to Restore to in
SystemRestore. To check whether you have deleted your restore dates, go
through the motions of performing a Systemrestore (Start, Programs,
Accessories, SystemTools, Systemrestore. Select "Restore my system to an
earlier date". Thene you will see a calendar for the month of May. If
any dates are in bold print, they will be the dates you can restore to
should you choose to. If the bold type dates go back past where you
disabled Sysrestore recently, then you did not succeed in what you were
trying to do. Bear in mind that your system makes a new restore date
daily, plus whenever you download and install a new program. You can see
from that that if something goes wrong with an installation, you can
restore to the last but one date, and all you new installation will be gone.

The possibility of a virus in your SysRest files does exist, and the way
to clean it is as I have told you.

Hope this helps.
