AVG's Vault is what most anti-virus programs call quarantine.  It's
basically a safe location that AVG puts infected files.  Some anti-virus
programs use the quarantine location to give you the ability to restore the
infected files in case of false-positive's or to try to remove the infection
in the future using newer virus signature data.

If you don't use AVG anymore, you can get rid of it (it only has infected
files in it).  If you still use AVG I would recommend you use AVG to delete
the contents of the Vault to make sure AVG stays in sync with the Vault.
