I have a client that uses Platinum, which was purchased for $60 from Panda's website and includes a firewall. it allows you to configure scheduled scans. Internet Security package *includes protection against viruses, hackers, spam, spyware and other Internet-borne threats.* I agree it is a bit pricey, but I do believe that you get what you pay for. ----- Original Message ----- From: "cris" <cris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 2004 11:39 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: AVG : I have several friends who have the Titanium level. I just now asked the one : again, and she said it definitely does not scan the computer on its own. It : monitors it, and it auto updates like other anti-virus software, but you need to : manually set it to scan the system. She really likes it - but she needs to set : it to scan each time. : From what I'm reading, the platinum does scan automatically, but the titanium : doesn't. : It looks as though, if I wanted to spend $80.00 + tax on virus protection per : year, their Platinum Internet Security would be the way to go. That's a lot of : money for me though. : To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
