that messenger setting - do you have it disabled? 
can't think off hand where it is. It isn't a messenger service - but a 
messenger on the computer .....
I just thought maybe it was from there. 

this computer I worked on the other day - once I put google search on it with 
the pop up killer - we were able to use it - but within about 30 seconds it 
said it had closed over 300 pop ups. This is the computer that had over 700 
pieces of spyware on it when I ran ad-aware. We were on support with gateway 
for a little while over another issue, and the guy said, well, if they're 
online, they're going to get pop ups. ( he wasn't helpful with much of anything 
at all) - but these pop ups are horrible - and these messages - and all of 
these invasions of our "private" computer's.

Yes...... these are coming in droves from porn sites and drugs without 
prescription sites. Neither of which I have any interest in.  Seems like the 
newest 
in SPAM.
