AOLTechRRL: Hello! I am Rafael and I'm here to help you. I am working with
other members as well and my responses might be delayed just a little bit.
Before we begin, may I have your first name please? :-)
Foxhillers: Hi: yes, I am on this computer Rafael
Foxhillers: Rafael: what is the FULL pathname for the AddressBook for AOL 8
and 9?
AOLTechRRL: Your Address Book is stored on AOL servers, so you no longer need
to save or backup your Address Book. This is great for you because you can
access your Address Book from AOL.COM or any computer running AOL 6.0 or
higher!
Foxhillers: But I want a copy of that AddressBook. How do I retrieve it from
your servers?
AOLTechRRL: Do you like to transfer it to another screen name?
Foxhillers: Yes
AOLTechRRL: Thanks for clarifying that.
AOLTechRRL: There is no built-in AOL feature that will allow you to transfer
addresses from one screen name to another automatically. You could print the
address book, then manually enter the information into the other address book.
AOLTechRRL: Alternatively, using the original screen name send an e-mail to
everyone you want to add to
your other screen name asking them to e-mail your other screen name. As you
receive e-mail at the other screen name, add the address to the address book.
Foxhillers: Certainly there is a way to retrieve the database of my address
book more easily than that
AOLTechRRL: That is the only way.
AOLTechRRL: Please go to AOL Keyword: Tell Us. You can submit comments and
suggestions at any time
. AOL does use this feedback to improve the service.
Foxhillers: That does not help the situation here much. but thanks anyway.
