-=PCTechTalk=- Re: = & 20's or HTML vs Plain Text settings

Hi all...I am very late seeing this, had computer woes.

I use stationery, sending and reading, and have for years. Running (IE6-OE6)
and you do not have to leave your setting on HTML. You CAN leave it on
"plain text" and send and receive (read) stationery whenever at will.

The only time I change it to HTML under mail sending format is if I want to
forward something exactly like I got it.

If you start a "plain text" email and decide you want to send it more like
stationery then you can go up to >tools>RTF and then you have the background
choice for color or picture, all the font choices and their colors etc.

Seems to me after all these years, it is just easier to leave it on "plain
text" then you don't have to worry about it when you send to a newsgroup
like this or on another kind of newsgroup.

If you have created stationery that you like to use you still DON'T have to
change the format setting. Just go to Message>New Message Using>... and if
your stationery isn't listed in those 10, go down to "Select Stationery" and
browse to where you have it saved. No need to change any settings to do
this. And yes it goes out to whoever just as you saved it...pictures, music
etc.

One other plus on leaving it on "plain text" is that if you receive a
stationery and you would like to save just the music for example on your
hard drive, just pretend that you are going to forward it...and you will see
that the pictures and music are separated out as attachments. Pick the one
you want and save it. Can't do this if it is set on HTML.

Sammi
