-=PCTechTalk=- Re: 2 panes

Well I was a die hard who got pretty ticked off without my
beloved file manager. I loved the ease of it when I want to
move stuff around. MS must have got tired of us bitching and
made it available again. Or maybe it was always there but dang
if I could find it until Harold got me exploring. Now I am one
happy camper!!

Thanks for the additional tip about the upper X -- I use it all
the time on the Favorites in IE. Easiest way I know when I add
a new folder to get it in alpha order.

Judith,
One of the benefits of this is.... not only having an old friend
around that
you like..but, if you click the X at the top of the column to
the right of
where it says Folders...it will bring up the XP Default which
shows

System Tasks
Other Places
Details

So, you have the best of both worlds.

If you click on that X, it gets rid of the File Tree, but it
does not change
the default. So, the next time you open Windows Explorer (My
Computer) you
will have the file tree there!
Thanks for putting the step by step directions there. I know
plenty of die
hards who will feel better about this...lol!
