I do not know the answer for the page not printing completely, but I would
call HP and ask them. It could be a common problem they hear and they may
have a fix for it...a setting that got dinged or something.
A work around for not being able to print the whole page...would be to press
the button to send the page in an email. Send it to yourself and print out
the email.
By the way, when you send a page from the internet to yourself..or anyone
else... if you look in your SENT MESSAGES box, it is there. So, you do not
have to wait to get the page in an email. Hope this helps..
Now as far as HP and the majority of questions about printers being about
HP's:
I personally think the reason a majority of problems with printers are the
HP's is due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of folks have HP
printers.,..and I could be wrong.
I have had HP printers for years...I still have an HP plotter from the
'80's.
My other half has had Epson and other makes..and now is an HP guy.
He loved his Epson, but it ate ink like there was no tomorrow.. the
cartridges did not print as many pages and cost as much as the HP
cartridges..and in some cases even more.
I had a run in with HP cartridges...and had FIVE bad ones I bought all at
one time. Office Depot took them back, no questions asked and gave me a
CASH refund and I had no receipt.
Prior to discovering it was an ink cartridge problem, I had contacted HP and
they were sending me a machine to use while mine was being fixed. It was
out of warranty and I was going to have to pay for the replacement...less
than I would have paid in a store.
When the replacement printer came, I had exactly the same problem. That is
what made me question the FIVE new cartridges I had tried in the old
machine.
When I got a good new cartridge in my own machine it worked fine. I called
HP and explained it to them. They had me put on the tag for UPS to pick up
the one they had sent me and they did not charge me one dime. They did not
charge me for the shipping of the printer or anything!
I have an Epson Photo Printer and I think it is great. But, I also think my
HP printers are great!
I have used my HP all in one to scan pictures into different programs..I was
not forced to use HP's software. I just chose the acquire button in my
software and it worked fine.
I do not have their thing (I do not remember what it is called) that will
pop up when you start your machine so that it can be there to store your
pics and do all sorts of stuff. I just took it out of the startup.)
I have found the HP folks to be very helpful on the phone. Their extended
warranties are very reasonable. They ship out the same day (depending upon
the time of day) a machine for you to use while yours is being fixed. They
send you a label to send your machine to them, so you do not pay shipping.
If you buy the warranty AFTER your warranty is expired, you have to wait
either 30 days or 60 days before your one year starts.
Maybe I am just lucky, but I have NEVER had a bad response from an HP
printer help person. Even their tone of voice is great! They were very
helpful.
All printers and scanners will eventually break..such is life. Now,
figuring out what is wrong..and getting it fixed is the key, The HP
warranties are unbelievably cheap. If you have an older printer/scanner/all
in one.... they will only sell you one year at a time. If you have a new
machine and buy a warranty before yours expires, they will sell you a 3 yr
warranty. I think I once figured that the shipping on one return was almost
the cost for the whole year warranty.
Just thought I would through my two cents in here... and I know..in this day
and age,,,two cents is worth even less than it was when that phrase was
'coined'!

the all in one - ones anyway. I have had the same HP printer and scanner
(seperate units) for years now - about 5 and not a problem; I shall cry when
they do go - I use them heavely. I use to be a Epson fan when I got this
940c HP as a gift. However I know several who bought all in ones and now
HATE HP - I suer don't like how they force their other software on you
though.

noticed that 90% of problems with
printers/scanners on this group are from HP machines? Sure tells me
something as I look at my HP scanner just sitting there, useless :o((

Hello All,
One of my seniors HP Printer's does not print the entire document when
printing off the Internet. It prints fine when printing a document
generated within the computer. I am hoping that there is some little
setting that will rectify this problem, so I am coming to you for help.
Thank you.
