-=PCTechTalk=- Pen Drives

It seems there are many companies selling these USB pen drives
so now a little history and my question.

I do not want to network my laptop to my desktop -- they are in
two separate rooms of my home. But I do want to exchange the
information from one to the other easily without having to use
my CD burner and software.

On one computer is Win 98 and on the other is Win Home Edition
XP (whatever).

I want to install the same software I purchased on both (i.e.,
Serif Programs) and use the pen drive to exchange the data.
Will this work? And am I right in assuming, it will be easier
transferring files?

Would like people using the pen drives to tell me their
experience with these and if they feel they are worth the money
and time saved.
