I just did a clean install of Vista HP on my laptop. I then installed
SP1, SP2, additional updates including IE8. Then MS Office 2007
Standard and AVG8.5 and all their updates .

I copied the entire contents of my Outlook Data files folder from my HP
desktop to the appropriate folder on the laptop. Outlook immediately,
with no help from me recognized and made available the address book and
the folders and their contents for my Personal folder which, of course,
contains all the mail for my POP3 accounts.

It did NOT make available the folders for my two IMAP accounts. Neither
did it put any account information into the accounts settings. I
expected both to be done with the possible exception of the account
passwords.

Did I expect too much? Should I have done it differently?

Thanks,
Don
