-=PCTechTalk=- Outlook 2K problem

sorry for the x post here, but I really need to find an answer to my issue!

my CFO runs Office 2k on a win 2k platform, Toshiba laptop, with quite a few
other applications installed.  he called me in today to fix the pop up box
that displays after Outlook has either sent or received mail.  no problem
right?  click the box that says "Always hide this dialog" and it shouldn't
come back... wrong!  it comes back with a vengeance... and you have to
manually close the display box instead of it disappearing after a few
seconds, which mine does.

so I go into the registry, changing the default value of
HKCU\software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\Always Hide Dialog
from 0 to 1, still no go... I compared the registry settings on my own
laptop to his, and I didn't have this entry at all, so I deleted his and
this worked for a while, but the d@mn display box is now back to haunt me...

any ideas out there?  they will be greatly appreciated!
