-=PCTechTalk=- Obtaining telephone number?

Does anyone know how to obtain the number a telephone is on? I think there
use to be a way to pick up the phone and dial a number and it would give
you the phone number of the telephone you were on. My new neighbor just
moved in and wonders if the kitchen phone # is the same as the bedroom
phone #.
Thanks.
Robert
