My laptop hard drive is partitioned into 2 partitions, Drive C: and Drive D:.
The OS is currently installed on C: and I want to install it on D: also.
I insert the DVD in the drive and run setup. It starts as you would expect but
after choosing "install" instead of "repair" the only option I get to install
it on is C:.
I rebooted and tried to change drive letters to see if that would help. I
could not change C: since it was/is the boot drive.
Is there a way to get setup to see D: so I can install it there?
Once I have it installed I want to "upgrade" it to Vista to use as a test bed
to learn on rather than risk ruining the OS install on my new computer (which
should be here early next week.
By the way.... went to Office Depot this morning at 5am. Waited an hour and
got a Samsung 23" 1080p LCD HDTV that will be used as my primary monitor for my
new system. Cost was only $279.
