I've been trying to get an old 9 pin Com1 mouse to work on a friend's PII-350. Win98se does not recognize the mouse, so I tried: -plugging into Com2 -using a PS2 mouse adapted to serial 9 pin -using a PS2 mouse into PS2 port (no PS2 "enable" in CMOS) -swapping com port wires on mobo None of the above made any difference either in Windows, or trying to load a driver from DOS.
