-=PCTechTalk=- New error message

I had a young feller in to help me figure out how to network my laptop and
desktop.  He set things up so I could print using one connection and printer
etc.
Now I'm getting an error message that "spoolsv.exe has generated errors and
will be closed by Windows.  You will need to restart the program."

Also, when I try to set up a new printer my computer tells me I am out of
resources.  "Printer operation cannot continue due to lack of resources.
The print subsystem is unavailable"

What's up with this, and how can I fix it?  2000 is what I'm running on the
HP 6000.
