Hi
I was wondering if I could get some help with my older computer and it's dial
up connection. I used to use it with a DSL connection, a network card, and OE
as the mail server. Somehow I was able to switch it back to work with the dial
up modem, install MSN explorer and receive the mail there.
Now, often times it will not connect saying it failed to recognize the account.
The account was first set up on my husband's lap top, and I was able to put all
of that onto the 98 computer. I guess there are many things that could be in
conflict, I am not sure what I did to switch it all over, and it is possible
that settings have since gotten changed.
The whole computer is running very slow now, and Norton antivirus is not able
to update.
I would prefer to use outlook as the mail server, but don't know if that can be
set up with MSN mail installed.... Wondering if I should just uninstall all
these internet and mail programs and start from scratch, or if there are
settings that can be changed to make it all run again?
Thanks for any directions suggested!
Lisa K.
