-=PCTechTalk=- Micromedia Flash problems...

My PC will not play any Micromedia Flash programs. When I get a site that
requires it instead I get the empty box with the red corner "X" in it, and
the site's info about needing to install MicroMedia Flash 7 (or 8) to see
anything... So then I click on the install option but it NEVER installs at
all! Nothing happens?!
Also I get some silly message that says "Important ; click on the gold bar
on top of your browser to install". WHAT "gold bar"? I don't get any fool
'gold bar' on the top of my browser.. (IE6.0)!!
I can live without this flash player I guess, but it does get annoying when
people send me stuff to check out and I can't see what they're talking
about..
Any clues as to what's wrong here?
Thanks,
drummer
