I downloaded MB today since I have been hearing so many good things about it
here on the list. I ran the quick scan and it found the following 3
items:Registry Data Items Infected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify
(Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify
(Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.
Folders Infected:
(No malicious items detected)
Files Infected:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\WINWORD.EXE (Backdoor.Bot) -> No action
taken.
Being unfamiliar with the product I did not know what to do with the
findings! I had not set a system restore (which I usually do before running
anything new) Anyway I chose to ignore the findings rather than remove
them. I did not see a quarantine option. Well, it was in the menu but it
was not clickable at this point.
Should I do the scan again and chose remove? And have I missed the help
files entirely? I did not see any instructions.
Help please!
Sandi
