-=PCTechTalk=- MORE QUESTIONS ON TROJAN HORSE

Well I have done everything that I was told to do to check for this "thing". I
am still very confused.
I went to my Norton Program and opened up the reports file and this is when the
Trojan Horse showed up
Date:5/23/03 Time 20:00:06 Virus Scan Started
Date: 5/23/03 Tme 20:54:32 The file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS\SysReg.exe is
infected with the Trojan Horse Virus; Unable to delete this file.

Date 5/23/03 Time 21:09:10 The File C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS\SysReg.exe is infected
with the Trojan Horse Virus Unable to repair this file.

Date 5/23/03 Time 21:08:28 The file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS\SysReg.exe was
infected with the Trojan Horse Virus. The file was quarantined.

So now my question is: Can I safely delete this file that is sitting in
quarantine or what should I do with it. Is the SysReg file an important file
and one that is needed. Talk about being confused but that I am. When it
comes to the internal workings of the computer, I think I am not that savvy.
Can someone offer up some explanations and or help.
