I have two odd entries in the startup tab of msconfig. They both are located
in
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and neither one has an entry in the Startup Item or Command columns.
When I navigate to that registry location I find 3 entries:
(Default) REG_SZ (Value not set)
MSMSGS REG_SZ "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
Sonic RecordNow!
(The RecordNow data field is empty)
It seems to me that in the past I have tried disabling these but they kept
comong back or no consequences were noted after they were disabled. Not sure
which scenario applies.
Anybody got any ideas as to the identity or purpose of these mysterious entries?
Don
