Hi Guys
Back a few weeks you were talking about index.dat only being able to be removed
from within dos.
There has to be some tallented guys out there able to give the following a try
to confirm my thoughts.
By using the program Spinel Clean and Tidy and afterwards placing the Content
IE5 folder which contains index.dat (C:\WINDOWS\Tempory Internet Files\Content
IE5) in the rubbish bin and then restarting, I am able to get index.dat down to
32kb from thousands kb. This then will be able to be deleted from the rubbish
bin only after a restart.
The free program ctinst15.exe dissapeared but I found it on;

I call this program "Blond Proof" (unless some dos guru uses .bak or something
like that, I fell for that once) really needs centering with the held down
mouse curser(free so worth the effort) click on C: > Scan Style > Scan. If
PCHealth highlighted & deleted it all goes too
Running WinME, Restore and PC health OFF.
Kindest regards
