OK, I swapped the cables and put the IDE HDD on IDE1, and disconnected the
CDRW/Zip altogether. The computer boots into Windows fine. I plugged the
CDRW/Zip into IDE2 and here's what happens:
Boot-up shows:
Plextor CDRW - Primary Master
Iomega Zip - Primary Slave
Secondary Master - (none)
Secondary Slave - (none)
I go into the BIOS and it shows:
IDE Channel 0 Master - HDD (WDxxxxxxxxx)
IDE Channel 0 Slave - (none)
IDE Channel 2 Master - (none)
IDE Channel 2 Slave - (none)
IDE Channel 3 Master - (none)
IDE Channel 3 Slave - (none)
