THAT is a cold boot. Starting cold from OFF--not a restart. And
that's what
I do as well if I get a freeze.....
______________
Have to say since I got Norton's Systems Works (well over a
year ago) -- I haven't had a freeze. I let Norton do its stuff
(maintenance wise) and no more blue screens of death or freezes
have happened.
And, I use my HP Pavilion, Windows 98 with upgraded memory to
512 for humongous graphic size work so I know I use a lot of
resources.
Used to use McAfee and I had to do a cold boot at least 5 times
a day so I definitely know there is a difference between both
products.
I Love software but when it comes to hardware -- all I want is
to click on a tab and have it fixed. Norton lets me do this.
Maybe I should work for them -- I sound like an ad (LOL)
