Hey,
I am trying to install my Western Digital Firewire PCI card on XP Home, but
there are problems. Here's the situation:
* When physically installing the card, the computer recognise new hardware
* There's a yellow explamation mark in the Decive Manager for the FW card
* When trying to install the driver from the CD that came with the card,
Windows says drivers are already installed (then why the explamation mark?)
* And Windows says it cant find the relevant driver from the CD
* I cant find any FW drivers from the manufacturer's website
* Windows Update do not find that I am missing a FW driver
* Cant find any drivers from driverguide.com
The card is pretty old, I got it before XP was released - can it be that
some FW cards are not compatible with XP since the card came out before XP?
Are there any standard 1394 drivers I can install to override current
drivers, which do not work? If so, where can I find them?
Thanks,
Glenn
