-=PCTechTalk=- Filename Extension help please

I am writing a program and I would prefer not to save the data to a ".dat"
file. It runs the risk of being opened by another program too easily. This
is not a programming question, I promise.
Looking on the Internet, there are sites where you can type the letters of
an extension and it will return to you which applications use those
extensions. There are also sites that list all the major extensions from a
to z that are known to be in use. Does anyone know of the opposite of that
list? I.e., a list of extensions that are NOT being used? It would help me
+tremendously+ to find 12 such extensions little know or unused extensions.
Thank you.
Robert
