-=PCTechTalk=- DVD/RW door problem

I have a new (2 month old) Gateway GT5692
AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor
2.10 GHz
400 GB Hardrive
4 GB RAM
64-bit Operating system
Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1
DVD/CD+/-R/W /Labelflash
(HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH15F ATA Device)
I know that's probably too much information for my problem, but I thought it
couldn't hurt listing it all. Anyway, what keeps happening is the CD/DVD
player door keeps opening and closing every couple of minutes (or less), and I
don't know what to do about it. I've tried updating the driver, but that
doesn't work. When I can get a CD to stay in the player, it works fine. It
only
happens when the CD player is empty.
Does anyone know why it would act this way, and how I could fix the problem?
Thanks,
LilAnnie
