I have to differ when someone says that WinXP will itself handle the
deletion of files like cookies and temporary internet files. It will only
remove them from some areas (such as Docs and Settings\Owner\Cookies")
automatically. Other areas (such as the "local settings\temp\cookies") still
retain their stuff (even after my WinPatrol prog supposedly "cleans" all
cookies), -and the "local settings\temporary internet files" appears to
retain EVERY cookie you ever received on your PC, indefinitely!
You can set in WinXP the "Delete Temp Internet Files When closing Browser",
and "Retain Cookies Only For One Session" options all you want, but these
files described above will still retain their data! Only way to empty them
is to open them and select and delete every file...
So thanks to who suggested the "CleanUp" prog to me. It looks like what I
want, and I'll try it....
