Hello all,
We currently have two desktops "being fed by blue wire" from the router,
and two laptops that are wireless. However, whenever we use either laptop in
the garage, they indicate the signal strength is low or very low. The garage
is about 50 feet from the router, and the walls are the older thicker, plaster,
or mortar style.
I'm thinking of running a cable from the router, out to the garage.
Is the blue cable called a CAT5?
Does anyone have a link with instructions on how to attach the end tips to
the cable?
Are there any additional software setup steps needed for the laptops when
they are connected via cable instead of wireless?
