-=PCTechTalk=- Can't get rid of 'ShowBehind'

Hello Sandi & Chris,

I always used adaware, spybot, Spyware Blaster, & ccleaner twice a week on
all my computers & never really had any complaints. I bought the new Vista
laptop & thought I should increase my spyware routine so I added a few more
highly recommended programs such as tweakNow Reg cleaner, Advanced
WindowCareV2 Personal, Easy Cleaner, PC Checkup, & Spyware Doctor. It
wasn't until I put in SpeedItUp that I started to have the problem.

Interestingly the only programs that found this spyware, ShowBehind, was
Spybot & Spyware doctor. All the others found the computers squeaky-clean.
Spybot always tried to fix the situation but when I ran it again it kept
finding the same thing over & over again. I followed the Norton fix
twice...both times asking me to delete certain things in the register, but
after rebooting, the two things I was told to delete, just kept replacing
itself in the register. I have no idea how to 'regedit' in Vista, so I have
done nothing with it yet.

Sandi, thanks for the link about the trash app. I read it, but my brain is
suffering from a large dose of tired, & nothing is staying in there. It
sounds like it might be addressing my situation, & I intend to try it in the
morrow. I will let you know how I fare!

Thanks for all your support,
Jan

I found it by googling hijacking home page.
Hope it helps. If not, someone on this list will help you.
