-=PCTechTalk=- Can't Do Windows Updates Using Update Utility

Hi all:

I recently used the windows update utility from the
start menu and was waiting for updates to load, and
waiting, and waiting, and waiting and nothing....it
stayed stuck at 0% complete.  I finally just went to
the security bulletins site to see if there were any
updates that I had missed so that I could download
them...anyone have any clue as to what could be the
trouble?  I've never had trouble before using
update....using Win 98SE on a 433 Mhz Gateway
Essentials with 256mb ram and using Outpost (free)
firewall...keep in mind I have tried disabling the
firewall to see if this were stopping me from getting
the updates but, still no progress...
