-=PCTechTalk=- Browser Mail Problem

Recently may mail program in Netscape 4.6 quit working--giving a messge 
that the program had performed an illegal operation and would be shut 
down.  This occurred as soon as I tried to open the mail portion on the 
browser.  I tried reloading Netscape 4.6, thinking I had deleted some 
necessary function, but it did not help.  I had a lot of saved messages 
that I can no longer access easily--unless someone has some hints on 
that, too.  I do have Netscape 6.2 which I can now use for mail, but I 
would like to be able to access my old messages on 4.6.  

Any suggestions?
