-=PCTechTalk=- Autoexec files in WinXP?

Possibly the "CleanUp" utility prog suggested to me will do everything I'm
looking for, and so I will not need to generate my own .bat cleaning
routines... But this still does not satisfy my curiosity and ongoing search
for PC knowledge...
Does anyone know why autoexec .bat files that operate perfectly in Win98
will not do anything in WinXP?
(Or is this a secret.....?) (];>]}
Thanks,
drummer
