-=PCTechTalk=- Auto Logoff?

Hi, Listers,

Since performing an HDD re-format, I am unable to make the 'autologoff' 
function work. I mean the software that should disconnect one from the 
net after #mins of inactivity.

Do as I may, it just won't disconnect.  I have ticked the boxes in the 
Advanced set-up window found working   my way thru "Internet Options' in 
the Control Panel, and entered 3mins for testing purposes, (normally for 
me,15mins).  The  ' ......when not required box' is also checked.

Has anyone any suggestions, please?   Win98se.  Dial-up Networking. 
Conexant  HCF PCI Modem.
