Using  IE6 for web browsing in XP Pro

Every time I start up IE, the browser starts up with a left hand pane which
says 'Where shall we surf today?'.. It's certainly not a part of IE, it
looks like something has attached itself to my IE installation somehow.

Also. I have IE set for small icons, no text labels, no links..yet whne I
first fire IE up after a re-boot, I'm getting large icons, text labels and a
lnks bar!!

I have looked in the running apps, and can't see anything there

Anyone any ideas??
