Robert......Thanks again, especially for the pic of your AVG Control 
Centre.  I have had another look at mine, and it is different to yours.  
I d/l'd the latest version (which I already had - LOL) and it is the 
same - the Update section is in the left lower quarter whereas in your 
pic it is in the lower right. Perhaps yours is not the current version?  
Anyway still I can not find anything to help.

I should say that I have changed my email address, and I mailed Grisoft 
to tell them of the change, but I received an automated response which 
said something to the effect that they did not keep email addresses!

I'll visit their website as Roy suggests.  Thanks again for your trouble.
