This has happen to me twice now.
A customer comes in with a laptop that has damage system files.
I insert my OEM cd and run a system repair. The setup ask for the product
key and I type in the one that is on the COA that is on the computer.
Everything
works. But when i go to activate it, it comes up with the message that
I'm using the wrong key. Why didn't it tell me that during
the repair setup? I have to call MS to get it activated.
