As has been suggested, do it wired first, then disconnect and see if 
wireless carries on.
A lot of network issues can be detected and solved early by using this 
approach.
Frequencies and protocols need to match well. You need to be certain 
that any encryption schemes match or use unencrypted transmission.
It also helps to have at least 3 stations since it allows you to use the 
odd man out method to identify where issues are.
