[pchelpers] wide movies

Hi:  A friend of mine asked me how to lengthen  a movie-- it shows just 
wide.--My DVD player has a zoom  and I can lengthen it, I was looking at window 
media player but nothing seems  to make the movie  bigger - because she only 
has a DVD  burner and rom on her computer. I can't find the zoom button  to 
view these types of movies in Media Player?  Anyone have any ideas? Thank You
