Here in New Zealand we can still buy W98SE so we can format a new machine
and not use the bundled WinME.

Just as an aside, we recently bought a new Acer portable and it came with
WinME pre-installed and I must say, it works fine.  We have not had any
trouble at all.  It works the machine fine and runs all our own in house
utilities perfectly, including the old dos stuff.

As far as your office type stuff goes, then star office is a very good
freebie.
