Hi Re-Na
It's not impossible to get a bundled pc installed with
Win98. I bought mine a few months ago and it came
preinstalled with Win98SE (exactly what I wanted). It
came with a Lotus Smart Suite on CD and Norton
Anti-virus preinstalled.
It's an HP Brio PIII 1Ghz processor.
Well even if it comes with another OS, you can always
reformat it to your liking and install the OS of your
choice. Or ask the vendor to install another OS for
you. Instead of Word Perfect why not download the free
Star Office? User friendly and not resource intensive
like MS OFfice.
WinME may give you lots of headaches when it comes to
driver compatibility. We reformat all the machines
that come with ME to install either Win98SE or Win2K
Pro.
One professional wrote that WinME is not for novices.
It has to be tweaked extensively to be useable!
Involved heaps of registry hacking to get it to work
the way he wanted it.
Just my 2¢ worth.
