My suggestion would be to go to ebay.com and see what the asking prices are
there. Look for something similar, about the same vintage, and you will have
a better understanding if you click onto prior sales, or an auction about to
end.
My old computer is about the same vintage and only about 60% of what yours
is.
My solution was to keep it, buy a $50.00 LinSys router in a simple hook up
together with
my new computer. Now I am on cable, but I have two computer side by side. I
can use the old hardware/software on the old 95. Both share the internet, if
I run
into tutorials, I can have the turorial on one monitor while trying to
follow it on the
other. And I feel I made the right move, thanks to the help I received here.
The $600.00 price is getting close to the price of a new one, but you do
have some
goodies on your old one. If yours is a second computer, then I say, I'm glad
I kept my old one
as a standby and I'm glad I don't have to hold someone hands if I had been
lucky enough
to sell the old one for $250.00. Consider keeping your old one, if your
situation is similar to mine.
