Agreed. I think I've seen *ONE* virus warning via email, in the 8
years that I've been online, that was NOT a hoax, and even that was
old news. Don't waste your time even looking at such messages. If you
keep your antivirus software updated and use common sense, you'll do
ok. If you want to know, the anti-virus vendors WILL tell you, just do
a search for JDBGMGR on their sites, or you can check at
http://www.snopes.com. Go there and do a search for JDBGMGR and you'll
see. Even a search at http://www.google.com will give you a clue, and
you don't even have to go to any of the links; the word "hoax" appears
in most of the summaries.

I had to fix the computers of two people who were dumb enough to
believe an email. According to the anti-virus web sites, the deletion
of jdbgmgr.exe should not have caused much of a problem, but both
systems turned out to be seriously screwed up.

Cliff, you did good by asking, instead of being gullible, but you can
find out for yourself quite easily.
